The Backyard Farming Connection #58

It's Thanksgiving week.  With the new move slowing down our harvest this year, we're very far from my dream of a completely home grown meal.  With that said we're thrilled to be celebrating in our new home and eating dinner off our new farm table (check out my new personal page to see what's going on for our Thanksgiving - Sackett Hollow Homestead).

This week my featured posts are all about planning your garden for next year, and getting the most out of this year's harvest by sharing the experience with children.

From Our Simple Farm, Top 5 Easiest Flowers to Grow and Sell

From Little Mountain Haven, connecting Children with the Harvest

For more great posts from around the homestead community, check out the links below (if you're reading this in an email, click on the post to see all the links).

I want to know what's happening, in your garden, on your homestead, in the barnyard, and in the kitchen.  Whatever is in your backyard farm and home, I would love to hear about it.

Each week I will share some of my favorite posts on the Backyard Farming Connection Facebook page.  And in case you haven't seen, I have a 'featured button' so if you've been featured in the past, grab a button.

  2. Hi Gretchen - thanks for hosting such a great party. Love the fun pics of your kids enjoying your homestead. I've just started my homesteading blog and am enjoying the blog hops. One of my first posts just happened to be "How to Start a Vegetable Garden: Tips for Beginners". Good timing.
