The Backyard Farming Connection Hop #39

This week we said goodbye to the strawberries and welcomed the peas to the dinner table.  If you aren't joining along each Friday for the "How Does Your Garden Grow?" series please stop by and share what's going on in your backyard.

The tomatoes in our yard are just beginning to flower, but it is already tomato time in many places across the country.  Nothing embodies the taste of summer better than a tomato (except maybe watermelon).  This week's features share some tips of dealing with this years tomato harvest.

From Tip Garden, How to Peel Tomatoes and Peaches

From Small Footprint Family, Making Sun dried Tomatoes

I want to know what's happening, in your garden, on your homestead, in the barnyard, and in the kitchen.  Whatever is in your backyard farm and home, I would love to hear about it.

Each week I will share some of my favorite posts on the Backyard Farming Connection Facebook page.  And in case you haven't seen, I have a 'featured button' so if you've been featured in the past, grab a button.

For details on linking up visit the hop page.

(If the HTML for the buttons doesn't work, feel free to just save the photo and link it back to this page).

  1. Good morning Gretchen! I hope your week has started well. I added one this week about barbequed cheese stuffed chili peppers - peppers that I harvested from my backyard garden! Thanks for hosting - see you again soon>

  2. Hi Gretchen, just stopping by for some distraction from our situation. I wont be in this weeks hop because my recent posts are not happy news. Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
