Backyard Farming Connection Hop #11

Welcome back to another week.  Is it really December already?!  Today was in the mid-fifties here is upstate NY, and while I know winter is really on the way, it was nice to pretend otherwise today.

If you ever blog about animals and you haven't checked out my ongoing animal link up on Friday's, check out the following posts and come back here Friday to link up posts about raising ducks.

Here are 2 of my favorite posts from this week:

From A Life Unprocessed, this post on Edible Weeds has inspired my to get outside and do some foraging - definitely on my 'to do' list.

It is the time of year to clean the coop.  Maple Grove has a wonderful post about getting the job done, and I love their 'poop pit.'

I want to know what's happening, in your garden, on your homestead, in the barnyard, and in the kitchen.  Whatever is in your backyard farm and home, I would love to hear about it.

Each week I will share some of my favorite posts in the newly formed Backyard Farming Connection Facebook page.  And in case you haven't seen, I have a new 'featured button' so if you've been featured in the past, grab a button.

  1. Thanks for the invite! I shared my post discussing whether or not to heat your chicken coop this winter.

  2. Hello! December weather has been so mild, it doesn't really feel like the first day of Winter is only a couple of weeks away! Thank you for hosting this fun party! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
